I will never fail to be impressed by the sheer lack of tact that the "Daily Prophet" seems to exhibit on a daily basis.

"Greyback has been known for his preference for young children."
Absolutely disgusting. Just - I don't even know what else I can add to that.
My heart goes out to the families who were touched by this monstrosity. Truly.

My daughter just informed me that she wants to be a turtle when she grows up. I've yet to decide quite how I feel about this revelation.

I'm afraid that absolutely everything that I have to say today is turning out to be quite sarcastic, so I'm going to practice, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all," seeing as I have been preaching it to Dora a great deal as of late.

Well, the Tonks household is now glittering and has a distinct smell of pine and gingerbread to it. Dora and I decided to spend the evening going through our boxes of Christmas decorations and then we moved on to deciding that looking at them was reason enough to forgo the fact that it isn't even December and put them up. Our front hall is lit up with lights and there is a nice wreath right there on the front door. Dora even insisted that we put the stockings up over the mantle. All that we're missing is a tree, but I convinced her that it might be best to hold off on that one.
It was a lovely distraction, to say the least.
